Isn’t it fun to watch our regulators talk about the availability of business lending? CFO magazine may not have observed that their recent article, TARP Won’t Spread Loans for Months, Chief Suggests, has no good news about the several additional months before some of this credit becomes available. In the same issue, another article entitled Bankers: We’re Lending, Really, relates the testimony from the President of the American Banker’s Association.
Gretchen Morgenson of the NY Times is dead certain there’s no lending around and reminds us that no restrictions were included when the money was doled out.
Is this a great country or what?
