I don’t know about you but I’m pretty tired of the one-sided, “the sky is falling approach of journalists” filling the front pages with dastardly economic news. Since we all know that economists have correctly predicted 13 out of the last 4 recessions, it’s painful to watch unqualified journalists recording the last breath of mankind as we know it. While there is little good news in the housing, construction and financial markets, I’m not sure that it has so permeated the business landscape that a full blown calamity is headed our way.
Since the headlines are so one-sided, that’s probably why I appreciated Ben Stein’s column in Sunday’s New York Times. You can read it here.
